“New Invention World’s fastest CPU”

The Fastest central Processing Unit in the world was recently developed by the Japanese Company Fujitsu Ltd. The Tokyo based company announced that their newly launched CPU has the capability to carry out 128 billion calculations per second.

This CPU runs about 205 times faster than the existing system, which was developed by Intel. With the help of miniaturization technology this system, the developer were able to add twice as many central unit circuits on chip as there were on previous CPU, thus having eight circuits instead of existing four circuits. The size of the chip was measured as 2 sq. cm.

This CPU is supposed to be used in the next-generation super computer, which will start operating in the fiscal year 2010. Engineers believe that the current CPU will be used to help new technologies develop drugs, predicts earthquakes and design rocket engines.
